Take it easy. Relax. Build up your strength!

Nature, nature, nature: The area around the hostel is made to measure for fresh-air fanatics, joggers and walkers. Hildesheim and the Leinebergland holiday region offer a huge range of routes for bikers and hikers. The varied landscape – the flat and fertile plain, the gently rolling hilltops or the river valleys of the Leine and the Innerste – offers attractive views either side of idyllic paths. In the city itself you will find plenty of opportunities for sport, such as riding, tennis, bowling, minigolf, golf and all sorts of bathing fun.

Swimming and bathing fans can visit the indoor or open-air Johanniswiese swimming pool. The latter – also known as the "Jowiese" – is considered to be one of the most beautiful open-air swimming pools in North Germany on account of the direct link to the neighbouring Lake Hohnsensee.

And while we're on the subject of open-air swimming pools: Directly adjacent to us is also the federal state canoe base for schools. Lower Saxony's schoolchildren learn canoeing and train here. Expert canoeists appreciate the optimum training conditions on the river Innerste. The Bischofsmühle canoe-slalom course has already frequently been the venue for championships.

Relax. Build up your strength!
