Relaxation
You can relax or take sporting exercise in Hamelin in the indoor or outdoor swimming pool, as well as at the tennis and squash courts.
The Weser shipping lines, which are rich in tradition, offer not only round trips and scheduled services by boat but also a programme of day excursions, group trips and special events on the river Weser.
Highlights of the Weserbergland region
One of the highlights in the Weserbergland is Hämelschenburg Castle. Built in 1588 as a castle in a lake in the style of the Weser Renaissance, it is considered to be one of the most beautiful castles in North Germany.
Another place worth visiting is the Stift Fischbeck (a religious foundation), with its famous tapestry dating from 1583.
